Christine & Martin’s Wedding is on August 8th at 3 P.M. in Ridgefield, CT
How we met
Martin’s side of the story
Christine literally had no idea who Martin was.
She asked around if he was “one of those white boy freelancers?” That didn’t clear things up at all. When they finally met in person she pretended to remember him. But she didn’t.
She knows him now. Better than anyone.
Christine’s side of the story
Martin first saw Christine when they were both working at Mother in New York.
He always wondered about her and hoped one day he'd get a chance to meet her. That chance wouldn't come til much later, when the long and hopeless scroll of a dating app would show him a familiar face.
They began chatting and haven’t stopped since.

where to stay
Hotel Zero Degrees in Danbury is our recommended hotel for the weekend. Welcome drinks will take place on-site, and wedding day shuttles will depart from the hotel, making it the most convenient place to stay.
While our initial discounted room block is full, additional rooms are expected to become available in early July.
In the meantime, please check the booking link below or call the hotel directly and mention the Robertson/Baker wedding, as rooms may become available before then.
If you are unable to secure a room right now, hang tight. We expect to have additional discounted rooms available and will update this page as soon as details are confirmed. We recommend waiting until early July before booking a room at standard hotel rates.

Kick off the weekend with us on Friday, August 7th from 7:30-9:30 at Hotel Zero Degrees in Danbury, Connecticut.
-
Formal the ceremony & reception, the attire will be what we’re calling Summer Formal.
It’s formal with floor length dresses. Suits or tuxedos.
But also summer, as we’d recommend lighter fabrics if you can, since the temperatures in August can get hot.

Find the full details below, but if you’re attempting to book at Hotel Zero Degrees, we’d recommending calling (203) 730-9200 rather than only checking online, because more inventory may become available in the coming weeks.

There is a registry linked in the header. It’s a bit sparse, we have most of what we need, but would love your help making our honeymoon special.
We’re traveling to Mallorca to see the eclipse, and have included options to contribute. -
Totally. Maybe. Just not during the ceremony.
We will have a photographer there to capture the event. And then at the reception we're looking to have point and shoot cameras available if you'd prefer not to be on your phone. -
Please RSVP by July 5th. Hopefully the new site resolves some of the previous problems with the process. But let us know if you have any trouble.

There will be a small gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Feel free to stroll Main Street, grab a drink nearby, and enjoy the area, just don’t stray too far, as buses will depart St. Stephen’s promptly at 4:45 PM.
If you’re driving, please plan to arrive at the venue no earlier than 5:00 PM. -
Friday welcome drinks will include light bites, so we recommend eating dinner beforehand at the hotel or one of the restaurants listed above.
Cocktail hour will feature passed hors d’oeuvres and buffet-style stations, but don’t fill up too quickly, dinner will follow with a three-course seated meal.
During dinner, each table will have a dedicated server and drinks will be made to order, so your glass will always be full. -
Please note this on your RSVP.

Absolutely! The hotel offers a handful of ADA-compliant rooms, and we will have ADA-compliant transportation available for anyone who needs it.
The church and reception venue is fully wheelchair accessible (yes, including the dance floor 💃).
If you or your guest need any additional assistance, please let us know and we’re happy to help. -
As two people who have attended our fair share of weddings without a plus one, we’d love to accommodate as many guests as possible.
If your invitation includes a plus one, it will be reflected when you RSVP. If it does not and you’d like to bring someone, feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best depending on space. -
Children are warmly welcome to attend the ceremony at St. Stephens.
Please note that the cocktail hour and reception are adult-only celebrations. We appreciate your understanding. If you need help coordinating childcare for the evening, please let us know. We’re glad to help connect you with trusted local babysitting options. -
Introducing, Martin Robertson.
Just kidding. Yes, Christine is planning to change her last name to Baker, though may keep it as Robertson for professional LinkedIn purposes so future clients don't know they'll be working with a married couple. -

We decided to just leave a ticket for the withjoy.com IT team to add to their Jira queue.
But we never heard back from them so we built this whole new website.
Hopefully, this can now be marked as resolved.

what to wear
Does the wedding have
a theme?
Christine is so glad you asked.
Think garden of eden: greenery, florals, prints, rich textures, slightly witchy.
Martin would like to note that this is entirely optional, but he did design the color palette you see here.
Overall it's predominantly rich greens and warm, earthy neutrals. Again, you aren't obliged to wear these colors. However, if you wanted to coordinate, now you can.
